Sometimes after a really stressful week and a weekend that just continuously got more stressful and more crappy, you need something to just make you smile. Recently we got a new cat, kitty, at home. I went home this weekend and seeing this love of a cat just made me smile. Especially since she has just been de-clawed and now has to wear a collar. I don't know how many people have seen up but all i kept thinking about was "he wears the cone of shame!" and though I felt really bad about our cute little kitten having to wear the "cone of shame" around and she kept getting stuck and couldn't get her head in her bowl to eat or anything but just being around this cute cat and thinking

Originally, this post was just supposed to be about appreciating things we see everyday in a new light. The pictures above are all of campus in a 'new light' or at night time which is a time I am not usually around campus. A beautiful light can even make something that is either ordinary or ugly, like the water tower seen beautiful. I would've elaborated more on this but I wanted to talk about how technology is all over our lives. A few days ago my computer broke, and I had never realized how much I use the internet or need it until I did not have it anymore. It makes life much harder for me not having the internet, but it also made me realize that things are much easier for us these days then they must have been in the past. We have technology and all this information at our fingertips, once its gone its weird, but you also see that its the people and having fun in life that matters. I spent the last few days my computer shut off, just enjoying myself. it was nice. Though now that I have to do homework, not so much.

I know this isn't really campus related but I couldn't miss a chance to post a picture of a beautiful sunset that I happened to see while throwing out my trash. Sunsets, as well as sunrises are something beautiful that I think many people don't get a chance to see, or they don't pay attention to the beauty in it.
